Our annual plant sale was held Saturday, May 23 at the Missouri Botanical Garden. This being our only fundraiser, our immeasurable thanks go to Sandy Evertowski. Without her efforts, there would be no sale. She did it all--from picking the date, securing the room, ordering plants, delivering plants, working all day selling and giving advice to closing up and taking care of the returns. Additional thanks to Lynn Obermoeller and Ruth Pondrom for spending the day setting up, selling and closing the sale. More thanks to Garden Glen Nursery (Sue Gillies) and members for providing plants to sell.
Sales were brisk in the morning and shade plants were the big seller. Too bad we couldn't have had on-demand restocking. Sales continued through the afternoon leaving us with just a few plants to load up. According to Sandy, we've never had so little left over.
